Whether you’re seeking a complete educational reimagining or want to enrich your child’s week with outdoor learning, Volo offers pathways for ages 7-12 to thrive academically, creatively, and joyfully.
The Luminary is Volo’s full-time program where children spend 60% of theirday outdoors—not visiting nature, but learning from it. Students mastercore academics through real-world problem-solving: measuring stream flow for math, observing ecosystems for biology, collaborating on restoration
projects that matter.
With personalized learning plans, mixed-age mentorship, and a student-to-teacher ratio of 6:1, every child is known, challenged appropriately, and free to move at their own pace. This is where curious minds become capable, confident learners who love coming to school.
Now we support ages 7-12, but our vision is to grow through high school ages. Volo graduates will be able to enter college or pursue the life path of their choice.
Give your child one extraordinary day each week. The Friday Quest is our Friday program where students ages 6-15 explore, create, and dive deep into nature-based projects alongside friends who share their curiosity.
Older students (ages 10-15) work directly with Dr. Arthur Morris on advanced topics and self-directed projects. Younger explorers (ages 6-10) engage in hands-on learning adventures that blend discovery, creativity, and play. Every Friday is different. Every Friday is memorable.
Perfect for families seeking to enrich traditional schooling or homeschooling with one exceptional day outdoors. Families report increased enthusiasm for learning and deeper connections to nature.
Volo will offer two, unique week-long summer experiences designed for young explorers. Stay tuned for dates and details.
